Overview

StillAlive collects limited data to provide check‑in, SOS and location sharing features. This page explains what we collect, why, and how to control or delete your data.

Data we collect

• Contact info: email and name (optional) for account and emergency contact setup.
• Contacts: phone numbers of trusted contacts stored locally/securely for alerts.
• Coarse location: only when you trigger an SOS or a check‑in; not continuous background tracking.
• Push token: to deliver notifications and alerts.
• User content: SOS messages and custom alert text you create and send to contacts.
• Identifiers: device ID and advertising identifier for diagnostics and optional ads.
• Usage & Crash Data: analytics and crash reports to improve app stability (unlinked).

How we use data

To provide app functionality (check‑ins, SOS, notifications), improve the app, diagnose issues, and (if enabled) serve ads. We do not sell your personal data.

Third‑party services

We use Supabase for backend, Google AdMob for ads (when enabled), and analytics providers for performance. Consult each provider's privacy docs for details.

Data retention & deletion

Your data is retained while your account exists and as required for operations. You can delete your account via the app (Delete Account) which will remove your profile and associated data from our backend.

Your choices

• Disable ads via feature flag (server‑side).
• Delete your account to remove personal data.
• Opt out of analytics where available in app settings.

Children

Not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

Security

We use industry standard measures to protect your data in transit and at rest, but cannot guarantee absolute security.
